Microcurrent device is a beauty device that stimulates facial and body muscles with low-intensity current. It mimics the body’s own bioelectric current and acts on the skin and muscle layers with extremely low microampere current to activate cell energy, increase muscle tension, and improve skin quality.

The Working Principle:
Microcurrent is transmitted through the skin to the deep muscle layer, stimulating mitochondria to produce ATP (adenosine triphosphate), a molecule that provides energy for cell activity. The increase in ATP helps promote the production of collagen and elastin, improve blood circulation, and enhance muscle contraction, thereby achieving the effect of tightening and lifting, reducing fine lines, and improving skin tone and contours.

This technology is widely used in professional beauty salons and home beauty equipments. It is highly safe and non-invasive, and is suitable for regular care and daily maintenance.
Perceived Current:
The average perceivable current for adult women is about 0.7 milliamperes (mA), and for adult men is about 1.01 mA. If it exceeds this range, a slight tingling sensation will be felt.

Safety Upper Limit:
The safe current allowed by the human body generally does not exceed 5 mA (5000 μA). Exceeding this range may cause muscle cramps.

Home Beauty Instrument Standards:
Most home microcurrent beauty instruments control the current below 400 μA (0.4 mA) to ensure safety and comfort. For example, the microcurrent intensity of NuFACE is 335 μA (0.335 mA).

Professional Beauty Equipment:
Some beauty salons or medical-grade equipment may use slightly higher currents (such as 500-1000 μA), but it is still far below the safety upper limit.

FDA Safety Standards:
FDA considers microcurrents below 500 μA (0.5 mA) to be safe and will not cause harm to the human body

The appropriate range for home microcurrent beauty devices is usually 100-500 μA (0.1-0.5 mA), which can ensure a certain skin care effect without causing discomfort or safety hazards. Professional equipment may be slightly higher, but still needs to strictly follow safety standards.

For beginners, it is recommended to follow the rhythm of “intensive use in the early stage and stable maintenance in the later stage“:

Initial stage (first 2 to 4 weeks): It is recommended to use it 3 to 5 times a week, with each care lasting 10 to 20 minutes to activate muscles and promote cell vitality.

Maintenance stage: After the skin condition stabilizes, use it 2 to 3 times a week as daily firming maintenance.

Sensitive skin or first-time users should start with a low frequency (such as 2-3 times a week) and gradually adapt. In addition, the lifting effect of microcurrent may be short-lived (such as de-edema), and it needs to be used persistently to maintain.

Microcurrent beauty devices are generally considered suitable for most people, with minimal side effects and no damage to the skin or body.

However, the following situations may require special attention:

Temporary Redness or Slight Tingling of The Skin: Some people may feel slight tingling or redness of the skin when using it for the first time or when the current intensity is too high. This is a normal reaction and will generally subside naturally in a short time.

Improper Use: Discomfort or poor effect may occur if conductive gel is not used, the electrode patch is not attached tightly, or the device has poor contact.

Special Groups Should Avoid Use: Pregnant women, people with pacemakers, epileptic patients, people with serious heart disease or people who have recently undergone facial surgery are not recommended to use microcurrent devices to avoid risks.

In general, microcurrent is safe and reliable for regular products under the premise of correct use. If you have sensitive skin or medical concerns, it is recommended to consult a professional doctor or dermatologist before use.

The most common and recommended matching products. The texture is refreshing, does not contain alcohol and irritating ingredients, can effectively conduct microcurrent and reduce friction, and can choose gels containing hyaluronic acid, collagen, and peptide ingredients, which can conduct electricity while moisturizing and nourishing the skin.

Avoid using products with too much silicone and oil ingredients. These products have poor conductivity and may block the conduction of microcurrent. In addition, irritating products containing alcohol, fragrances, and acids are prone to cause sensitivity or discomfort under the action of electric current.

Microcurrent and EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) are both non-invasive beauty technologies that use electric current to act on the face or body, but their principles, strengths, and uses are significantly different:

Dimension

Microcurrent

EMS (Electric Muscle Stimulation)

Core Principle

Mimics the body’s natural bioelectric signals to support cellular energy production (ATP) and tissue repair.

Applies electrical pulses that exceed the motor nerve threshold, causing involuntary muscle contractions.

Current Intensity

Extremely low (microampere, µA), often imperceptible to users. Approximately 100–600 μA, typically ≤400 μA

Higher intensity (milliampere, mA), producing visible muscle movement. Approximately 2–20 mA, depending on device design

Frequency & Waveform

Low-frequency, smooth, or biologically compatible waveforms designed for cellular communication.

Pulsed stimulation between 1–150 Hz designed for muscle activation and conditioning.

Primary Targets

Skin cells (keratinocytes, fibroblasts) and gentle “re-education” of superficial facial muscles.

Muscle fibers and motor nerves responsible for muscle movement and strengthening.

Physiological Response

Increases ATP production, boosts protein synthesis, improves circulation, supports repair — without strong contraction.

Generates clear, strong muscle contractions similar to physical exercise.

User Sensation

Gentle, comfortable, often barely noticeable.

Noticeable tightening, pulsing, or rhythmic muscle movement.

Intended Purpose

Skin rejuvenation, contour refinement, anti-aging — the “cellular energy charger.”

Muscle toning, lifting, body sculpting — the “fitness trainer for muscles.”

Typical Application Area

Facial skincare, anti-aging treatments.

Body sculpting devices, muscle training tools; occasionally used for facial tightening with lower intensity.

Therefore, if you are looking for gentle care, anti-aging, and skin quality improvement, it is recommended to use a microcurrent beauty device.

If your goal is to strengthen muscles, slim the face, and sculpt contours, you can try a device with EMS function, which is especially suitable for people with loose jaw lines and obvious muscle loss.

High frequency wands and microcurrent devices are both popular beauty tools, but they work on different principles and serve different skincare purposes:

  • High frequency wands use high-voltage, low current alternating current through gas-filled glass electrodes. This produces a gentle discharge and ozone that acts on the surface of the skin, helping to kill bacteria, reduce inflammation and promote blood circulation. Users can feel a slight inductance and ozone smell, which is irritating but adjustable. They are particularly effective for treating acne, oily skin and dull skin.

  • Microcurrent devices use low-intensity direct current to simulate the body’s natural bioelectricity. It stimulates facial muscles and skin cells, promotes skin firming, activates ATP production, and improves muscle tone. There is almost no irritation when used. Microcurrent is best used for anti-aging, firming, and improving facial contours.

In summary, high frequency focuses on cleansing and healing, while microcurrent focuses on firming and rejuvenating.

Yes, we provide private labeling services for all our high frequency wands. This allows you to brand the products with your logo and packaging, helping to establish and enhance your brand identity in the market. Typically, our MOQ (minimum order quantity) for private labels is 100~1000pcs, based on the product itself and your requests, we are flexible and open to discussions based on your detailed needs.

Let’s answer this question in two parts:

First, the logo printing on the product:
Please provide your logo file in AI form, this is important. Jpg, png or other formats cannot guarantee pixel clarity, we need to use AI format files to make steel plates. If you can only provide PNG images, please make sure that the pixels are large enough. In addition, please provide the Pantone color numbers of all the colors used in your logo, and we can also provide suggestions for you to choose from. The screen printing master needs to adjust the ink according to the Pantone color number. Of course, if you use laser engraving technology to print the logo, no need to provide the Pantone color number.

Before proofing, we will provide you with the renderings to confirm the position and size of the logo printing on the product. After you confirm that it is correct, we will start to arrange sampling.

Second: Custom packaging
We will provide the die-cut file for the product packaging box, usually in AI format, and then you will design it. After receiving your design file, we will check it carefully and tell you about possible printing problems or suggestions if any. We can provide color box samples printed by a digital printer if necessary, and will arrange mass production after you confirm that there is no problem.

Please rest assured that our designer has ten years of experience and has helped great many customers with the design, printing, and various surface treatments of ordinary packaging, including various paper materials, plastic materials, and some fabric materials, winning their high praise.
